Autumn Portraits in the Park

It was such a privilege to meet the Walton Family! At first we were unsure whether we would have to postpone the session until a later date because of the smoke. But thankfully the smoke cleared out later in the afternoon! And it ended up being such awesome light, so I am super happy that it worked out the way it did.

This family is so sweet! They were a joy to work with. At one point I asked them “you guys have had to done this posing stuff before right?!” they just did everything I needed them to do with little instruction. It was awesome! The kiddos were so good also! Very polite! And I loved the colors they picked out! Went together so well! And the whole family got new tennis shoes for the occasion! Love it. :)

The lighting at the park for this session was a photographer’s dream! Fall foliage all around with the sun diffusing through the trees as it set. You’ll see some amazing hair glow on Juliana later on in the post! I was super excited! The sun was moving pretty fast though so I had to keep asking Juliana and Andrew to move over a bit. They were so obliging though! The fallen log here at the park was super cool also! Reminded me of the fallen log at the Dog Park in Redding. Except this one had more trees and shrubs around it. And the autumn leaves! I just love fall time!
