Impromptu Portrait Session on Santana Row
I traveled down to San Jose, California to photograph an apartment building (see that blog post here) and brought my daughter, Emily, along with me. She had never been to San Jose before so I made sure to swing by Santana Row! The last time I had visited was 15 years ago, which is just crazy that it’s been that long. I have great memories of the Winchester Mystery House, the Egyptian Museum and Santana Row!
Self Portraits in San Jose, California
We didn’t have a ton of time before having to get back on the road for home, but we found a parking spot and did a quick walk around the block. The buildings where we parked had these rustic colored doors with metal fixtures. They were so cool! I immediately grabbed my camera and started snapping pictures. Then that turned into a mini portrait session with my daughter and some headshots for me and my Kamrette Camera Backpack! (Which happened to match my sweater perfectly… haha!)
There also was another wall with a really cool painted mural and neon sign welcoming everyone to Santana Row. That spot was super fun for photos too! I definitely would love to come back and do a family session or engagement session there. That’d be amazing!
Anyhow, here are my favorite shots from this impromptu session! Can’t wait to go back. 🙂
