An Epic Red Bluff and Chico Engagement Session

This is a very exciting blog post for me to write! Meet my brother-in-law and his fiancé! We are so incredibly excited for them both! It is absolutely beautiful the way God orchestrated their relationship and brought them together. I get teary just thinking about it! I can still remember the day when Jon, two of his brothers and his mom came to town. I can’t believe that was 20 years ago! Time has sure flown by and over the course of those years I’ve watched God bless Jon time and time again. Through good times and bad. He’s stayed faithful to God and in turn God brought him such a beautiful Godly woman! We can’t wait for their wedding day!!!!
Tehama County Superior Courthouse
We started their engagement session at the Old Tehama County Courthouse in Red Bluff, California. I love this location! The beautiful columns and architecture of the building makes for gorgeous portraits. Especially when my clients wear formal outfits, like the stunning black dress that Emily wore! There’s a lot of variety we can do here with the steps and around the columns. But my favorite from this session was when Emily brought out the confetti poppers! That was so much fun!
Butte Creek Watershed Overlook
From the courthouse, we then drove to the Butte Creek Watershed Overlook in Chico, California. This was my first time getting to photograph in this location and it quickly became a favorite! The view is absolutely breathtaking! Emily had another stunning dress in blush pink that went so well with the landscape. The whole fenceline of the parking lot is decorated with locks, such a unique landmark. I think my favorite photo from this spot was Jon reenacting his proposal! This would be an amazing proposal spot with the epic views!
