Fall River Mills Ranch Wedding | with Holly Dyche Photography
The sun was setting across the meadow as the bride and groom posed for their sunset portraits. We heard a noise and looked over to see a herd of horses coming our way to see what all the excitement was about. It was a gorgeous sight to behold! A sweet mare and her baby were posed next to the bride and groom for an epic sunset portrait that took all our breaths away!
Second Shooting for Holly Dyche Photography
It was such an honor getting to be a second shooter for Holly on this epic ranch wedding day! We connected through our local photographers facebook group that we’re both members of. We realized later that Matt and I know her mom!! Matt actually just finished fabricating and installing her mom’s beautiful countertops. Such a small world! Holly also shoots Nikon, so it was awesome getting to work with someone that shoots with the same camera brand as I do. You can see more of Holly’s work HERE.
Ranch Wedding
The day started with coffee, snacks and fun conversation on the drive up to Fall River Mills! Fall River Mills is located in the mountains of Northern California. We started at the bride’s parents home in McArthur for all the getting ready photos. The bride’s mom had planted a huge grove of wildflowers along the driveway to the barn. It was BEAUTIFUL! We had a ton of fun with the girls which even included a champagne pop!
We then headed to the ceremony site which was located at a beautiful private ranch. The ceremony was to take place in a meadow that looked towards Mt. Lassen. Unfortunately it was too smoky that day to see the mountains, but it was still amazing regardless! The archway that they were married under was a unique macrame design that flowed in the breeze. It was stunning!
The bride arrived at the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage like out of a fairy tale! The groom’s reaction was priceless! I had the honor of capturing his reaction and it was so sweet! The whole ceremony was simply perfect.
The rest of the festivities were filled with the same feeling as the ceremony! I also got to see my old coworker there as well. Him and his wife were bartending for the wedding. Such a great surprise to see him and his wife! Ok, I’ll go ahead and stop yakking now and let you see all my favorite images!!

A TEHAMA MICRO WEDDING
Their special day took place at the Tehama Assembly of God church in Tehama, California. A beautiful old-fashioned church building with wood walls and pews! The ceremony included their children who were so excited to become siblings! It was the sweetest ever. Both Kacee and Joshua had special vows prepared for the kiddos too which brought tears to my eyes!
