Battle Creek Spring Senior Session

Chase | Battle Creek Wildlife Area

It was an honor getting to capture another senior for this beautiful family!! I’ve known this family for about a decade already. So crazy! I met Chase’s mom, Erica, when I started volunteering for Nor Cal Think Pink, a local breast cancer awareness non-profit in Redding. (Which I believe was in 2010 or 2011. Wow!) It’s so much fun watching families grow and getting to photograph them along the way!

I met up with Chase and two of his brothers at the Battle Creek Wildlife Area in Anderson, out towards Coleman Fish Hatchery. It was a gorgeous day! Still had to battle the mosquitoes a bit but we had perfect light and a great time regardless.

After walking the trails a bit, we headed over to the Battle Creek Bridge but…unfortunately we were not able to gain access to the bridge due to an individual that didn’t want us around (even though it’s public land - crazy!). That didn’t stop us from getting epic portraits though, instead we drove back up the road a bit and found some awesome spots along the side of the road! Those spots ended up being perfect with Chase’s second outfit, a brown plaid flannel with poncho.

Chase, it was an honor getting to capture your senior portraits! I wish you all the best in your future after high school and can’t wait to see ya’ll again soon!! God bless!
