The White House at Churn Creek Golf Course Spring Wedding Day
What a beautiful Spring Wedding Day it was for Maryann and Brandon!!! We just absolutely love them and their sweet friends/family. Everyone was so upbeat and positive even despite the thunderstorm that rolled in right in the middle of reception. Instead, everyone embraced the rain and danced the night away!!!
Her Princess Dress
It was always Maryann’s dream to feel like a princess on her wedding day and that she did! Her dress (from David’s Bridal) was absolutely perfect for her. And meant to be! When her dad told us the story behind the dress, I was in awe! She found the dress and fell in love but it was over budget. She came home knowing that she would need to keep searching for another dress just like that one. A dear friend, without knowing Maryann’s predicament, felt led to send Maryann money for her dress and it was the exact amount she needed! Oh but it doesn’t end there…She went back and her dress was MARKED DOWN! So much so that the money sent to her covered the dress, the veil, and the alterations! See why I was in awe! Such a wonderful dress story!!!
The Wedding
I fell in love with The White House at Churn Creek Golf Course venue! It’s beautiful! The whole grounds are highly manicured with direct access to the golf course and a gorgeous willow tree. Their wedding decor boasted Royal Purple and Crimson Red accents. The florals (arranged by Anderson Florist) were stunning! Red roses and purple flowers with baby’s breath. Maryann also had a special charm attached to each of her bridesmaids bouquets.
The ceremony was simply perfect, a slight breeze, not too hot and not too cold. The ceremony site was lush and green with white lantern lights strung all around. It was so sweet watching Maryann and her dad coming down the aisle! Afterwards the area was quickly transitioned into the reception as the guests gathered on the back porch for cocktail hour. Once the reception started, the thunderstorm rolled in just after everyone was almost through their meal! Everyone gathered underneath the porch area for shelter until it was time for dancing. Then it was time to dance in the rain!
For sunset portraits we grabbed two golf carts and went out into the golf course in search of the beautiful willow tree. There was a low break in the clouds that gave us a spectacular sunset glow! It was still raining but that made the photos even more epic! The whole time, Maryann and Brandon were such great sports and didn’t let the weather deter them from having the time of their lives on their wedding day!
Maryann and Brandon - It was such an honor getting to capture your gorgeous wedding day! We hope you’ll cherish the memories these photos bring to you for many years to come. May God bless you in this new season of your lives!!
Love, Jen & Matt

A GOLD HILL GARDENS WEDDING
Gold Hill Gardens is a gorgeous wedding venue located in Newcastle, California on the outskirts of Sacramento. It’s like a hidden oasis! Beautiful landscape and a gorgeous B&B where everyone could get ready. The reception area wasn’t just a pop-up event tent, it was a commercial-grade white-covered structure with beautiful lighting. You couldn’t help but have a peaceful feeling walking around the grounds.
REDDING ELKS LODGE WEDDING
We started Christine and Mark’s wedding day at the bridal suite in the Sheraton Hotel near the Sundial Bridge. It was a beautiful suite! It opened up into the courtyard where we captured some gorgeous photos of Christine getting into her amazing dress and putting the long flowy veil on for the first time. The room was filled with joy and laughter as the girls all got ready.
Shasta Dam Engagement Session
When Savannah mentioned that Shasta Dam was one of the first places they frequented as a couple, I was super excited! I absolutely love shooting at new places and Shasta Dam is now on my favorite list. The day of the shoot ended up being perfect weather, not too warm, and with some cloud coverage! We even got a few rain droplets in between outfits but the rain held off until we were finished!
