Susanville Ranch Park Family Mini Sessions

I’m so excited to share these two family mini sessions with you! This was my first time photographing in Susanville, California! And let me tell you…Susanville Ranch Park is GORGEOUS! As soon as we pulled into the park, my heart skipped a beat. Beautiful hills and mountains with autumn colored trees in the background, wispy tall dried grasses everywhere, and a wooden footbridge in the middle of the park. So many beautiful options for winter family portraits! We were a little worried about rain at first, but at the last minute the clouds shifted and there was no rain in the forecast! Yay!!

Meet the Middleton Family

I’ve known this sweet family for quite a while now! They pastor the Apostolic Church in Susanville, Truth Tabernacle. We get to see them at several different church conferences and meetings throughout the year and it’s always a joy getting to be around them! They have three sweet kiddos, one of them almost done with high school! Their daughter, Nicole, is so sweet, my girls love hanging out with her. When Sis. Middleton messaged me that they’d love to have family photos taken sometime soon, I was excited and immediately started devising a plan to get up there. Which led to me reaching out to the Riley Family!!

Meet the Riley Family

Suzanne and I go way back! Like back when I was around 10-12ish. I still remember the ladies night at my mom’s house where Suzanne taught me and several other ladies brand new hair styles! I still use those tips and styles to this day. Suzanne and her husband now pastor the church in Sparks, Nevada, Souls Harbor Apostolic Church. They have three beautiful kiddos that did so well during the session! I’m so happy that it worked out for them to meet us in Susanville so I could photograph them and the Middleton’s on the same trip!!

Matt and I also enjoyed going to lunch with both families! It was such a blessing to us getting to catch up and fellowship. We can’t wait to see them all again soon!!
