Phillips Family Session

Meet the Phillips Family

Old Town Shasta Casual Mini Session

Holly contacted me last December and wanted to gift her parents a family session for Christmas. The last time they had professional family portraits done was when Holly was 3 years old! I was so excited to be a part of this gift to them. Rodney and Carol have been married for over 47 years and they are such a sweet couple! I thoroughly enjoyed our time together out at Old Shasta.

We started the session in front of the Courthouse Museum. The green doors and red brick contrasted well with their outfits! We then went over to the ruins and the boardwalk areas where some of my absolute favorite portraits of the day were captured. :) It was such a beautiful day! Sunny skies and temperature hovering right around 80 with a slight breeze. If only the summer days could stay like that! Haha!

Before the session ended, I learned their home was one lost in the Carr Fire in 2018. Rodney told of their frightening escape and how they were at the very location where one of our firefighters was lost just 3 minutes prior! Such a scary time for our community.

It was an honor getting to know this sweet family! Scroll down to see more of their Family Mini Session!!!
