I am so excited for Jade and Jackson’s upcoming wedding! I’ve known Jackson for several years now, since his Aunt’s wedding day (Rebekah and Jason, see their blog post HERE). And since then I got to photograph his senior portraits in May of 2022 (View the post HERE). And now his engagement session!! Jade is so sweet and beautiful, I’m so happy for both of them!!!

We met out front of the courthouse museum in Old Shasta, California. Across the street are the historic brick ruins and we headed over there. There were so many cool spots there! We explored the whole length of ruins all the way down to the old general store. On the way back to the car I had them walk in front of me and we captured some of the cutest walking shots! So fun! We ended the session back at the courthouse museum where we captured one of my absolute favorite images! Jade did such an amazing job with her outfit picks! The burnt orange floral dress and cute cowgirl boots (then later her white maxi dress) contrasted so well with the brick ruins. I just loved them both!

A RAINY ENGAGEMENT SESSION at Turtle Bay

Cara and Brad’s engagement session was proof that it is possible to photograph in the RAIN! I woke up the morning of their session and thought “oh no…” when I checked the weather. I monitored the weather app all day and the rain percentage kept getting higher and higher. Cara and Brad travelled up from Davis so there was no turning back. So we WENT FOR IT!

A beautiful summer wedding day at Centerville Estates in Chico, California. Kristie and Shawn were surrounded by their wonderful friends and family as they were married under the ivy arch.
