The Bilyeu Family

Meet the Bilyeu Family

Missionaries to Africa | Turtle Bay Garden Portraits

I’m a firm believer that things happen for a reason and in God’s perfect timing. And it just so happened that I was available when Julie called needing family portraits done over the weekend for their new missions endeavor! I’m so glad it worked out too, they are just the sweetest family! They have four kiddos too that are just about the same age range as our kids! So it was super fun getting to work with them and getting to know a little bit about them. As you all know it was incredibly HOT over the past weekend, but that didn’t stop them from getting good portraits!!! They did great!

The Bilyeu Family has done several missions trips over the years, numerous ones to Africa but then also a few to other countries as well. You could tell how passionate they were about their ministry work as they spoke about it, which is great! An opportunity opened up for Scott to become the Mission Opportunity Director for SOS Adventures and now they are working on raising funds for their next mission! I invited Scott to tell you a little bit more about it himself! :)

In 2012 my life was radically transformed by Jesus Christ and this transformation immediately rippled through my family. Ever since that day, I have felt called to reach others with this powerful Good News, and to live the book of Acts. God has positioned our family to answer this call working as missionaries alongside SOS Adventure. SOS Adventure goes to cities all over Africa with the power and love of Jesus. As the Mission Opportunity Director, I help connect individuals and churches all across the U.S. to life-changing short-term mission opportunities. On these trips hundreds of short- term missionaries join together from across the globe to love people and preach Jesus through Mega-festivals, powerful street ministry, compassion projects, and kid’s outreaches. Over the years it’s been amazing to see the local church members in the US be impacted and activated after a trip to Africa. Not to mention the thousands added to the Book of Life, healed, and delivered. If you would be interested in joining our team on an upcoming trip please email: scott.bilyeu@missionsos.org, or if you feel led to become a ministry partner through tax deductible financial donations please visit our Giving Portal here.

Massive blessings,

Scott Bilyeu
