A Lema Ranch Senior Session | Chloe!
A Lema Ranch Senior Session
Meet Chloe! A 2019 Graduate from Shasta Charter Academy! (The high school that I graduated from! And what’s even better, I’ll be photographing the graduation ceremony again this year! So I get to capture her receiving her diploma too. So fun!!)
Chloe’s sweet mom, Vanessa, is my kiddos teacher from Evergreen Institute of Excellence. So when she asked me to to her daughter’s senior portraits, I have to admit I assumed she was graduating from EIE. But then found out later that nope, she’s a SCA student! I graduated from SCA in 2007 (double 007, James Bond theme! Yay!) and I just love the teacher’s there. It’s an amazing charter school and I was so blessed to attend there.
Now let’s chat about this GORGEOUS location!!! When we started planning this session, Chloe mentioned Lema Ranch. I had heard of it but never shot in this location before. So when I looked it up online and saw the pathway lined with olive trees…I was like “YES! This location is PERFECT!”. Lema Ranch is owned by the McConnell Foundation in Redding, California. It is beautiful! It features several ponds, lots of wildflowers (including California Poppy’s), walking trails, and the “olive tree drive”! You pair this beautiful landscape with a beautiful subject and you get stunning portraits!! I had a hard time stopping, I could’ve photographed here until the sun was completely gone. Haha! This girl is so fun to be around! Her “Chloe Laugh” is so contagious I found myself smiling and laughing along with her. So much so that my cheeks were tired after the session! Haha! It was such a privilege to capture her personality and genuine beauty! Here are a few fun facts about Chloe!
Her favorite color is Yellow! So we were so excited to find the yellow wildflowers!
A few of her favorite hobbies are: Baking, Hiking, Long Boarding, Antique Shopping, Reading & Music!
Her favorite summertime outfit would be shorts and a cute t-shirt!
To Chloe, wishing you the best in your future outside of high school! Reach for the stars, dream big, and never give up! And you know what they say? When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Because lemons are yellow and that’s your favorite color. Haha!
