Hot Mid-Summer Red Bluff Engagement Session
Matt and I felt like we had just met up with lifelong friends the instant we met Rose and Tyler for their beautiful engagement session! Tyler is an architectural engineer and we had the honor of touring their freshly built home while also discussing their future add-on plans! Such a gorgeous lot and home! We are so happy for them and honored that we got to see it. When we first arrived in Red Bluff, the temperature peaked at 109…phew! But that didn’t stop us!!
Rose + Tyler
Let me tell you a little bit more about our sweet couple! Rose works from her home as an Organic Compliance Inspector, where she reviews reports and determines if the farms are staying within the organically grown guidelines. I thought that was so cool! Especially since I mostly purchase organic groceries. It’s so nice to know that someone is double checking. 😀 She’s also a superhero! No kidding! She shared with us that she very recently endured a serious health emergency. Of which she was released from the hospital just a few days before the engagement session! I was like, “Wait, WHAT?!” I would have NEVER known something like that had transpired because you could not tell! She looked amazing! Wow, just wow. I was literally speechless. Tyler was such an amazing support for her and you could just see the absolute love they each hold for one another. I can’t tell you how excited Matt and I are for their wedding day!!!
We started the session on the outskirts of their property line where some beautiful trees and bushes were. The contrast with their outfits were perfect!! Her white lace dress and headband were beautiful against the oak and manzanita. We also did some photos up against their home which were some of my favorites! We then headed over to Rose’s parents place just up a ways from their home and captured some absolutely stunning photos in her mom’s manicured backyard. It was so great to get to meet her parents as well! Sweet, sweet people!
Rose and Tyler, it’s such an honor getting to be your wedding photographers! We are so excited to get to celebrate alongside you on your wedding day while capturing every moment. Until October!!!! 🥰

A RAINY ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Cara and Brad’s engagement session was proof that it is possible to photograph in the RAIN! I woke up the morning of their session and thought “oh no…” when I checked the weather. I monitored the weather app all day and the rain percentage kept getting higher and higher. Cara and Brad travelled up from Davis so there was no turning back. So we WENT FOR IT!
Caldwell Park Smoky Engagement Session
From the moment Skyler and Cale stepped out of their car at the engagement session, we just knew we were going to love them! They both were so relaxed and eager to try any pose I asked them to do!
DREAMY WEDDING AT SHASTA WEDDINGS
They held their wedding at the Shasta Weddings venue in Castella, California. This venue is an hour and a half north of Redding, and it’s a little crazy to get to. Shasta Weddings doesn't have a physical address, so Maranda just told me just the name of the road that it was on. So I put that in my GPS, and it took us to the beginning of Castle Creek Road, but then we had no idea how long we had to drive. It was a good thing we left a little early because it was about 25 more minutes before we reached the venue! But it was worth it!
