Battle Creek Wildlife Preserve Spring Engagement Session
Meet Maryann and Brandon! I just love these two! They are so fun to be around and we are so excited to photograph their wedding day coming up at the end of May!!!
Their beautiful spring engagement session was at the Battle Creek Wildlife Preserve area out past Gover Ranch in Anderson, California. It was a gorgeous day! Maryann’s white dress was stunning and contrasted so perfectly with the surrounding landscape at the preserve. We started around the marsh area at the preserve and moved along the trail to the big white tree near the creek. The light shining through the trees was spectacular!
Once we finished up there at the main trailheads, we moved down to the historic Battle Creek Bridge built in 1911. Maryann and Brandon’s purple casual outfits went so well with the bridge setting!
So, I just have to share Maryann and Brandon’s sweet proposal story! Maryann absolutely loves Disneyland and on their most recent trip, Brandon planned out the proposal to a “T”! He carried the engagement ring in his pocket the whole time without Maryann ever knowing! They had special passes that gave them access to the park photographers and while they were in front of the castle, he dropped to one knee and the park photographer snapped away! How amazing is that?!
We ended this beautiful spring engagement session at a small field of California Poppy’s as the sun was setting. The perfect end to a gorgeous session! (And we’ll just try and forget about the swarms of mosquitoes…They were out in full force!) We cannot wait for their wedding day!!
