A Free Wedding Planning Checklist for Your Big Day

FREE WEDDING PLANNING CHECKLIST

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to keep costs down while still making sure that every detail is perfect. So let’s talk about what goes into planning for your big day and then, don’t forget to grab my FREE Wedding Planning Checklist by clicking the button at the top of this post to help you plan the perfect wedding! This free wedding planning checklist will help you plan for all aspects of your wedding, from the ceremony to the reception. It’s a great overview of what needs to be done and I’m sure it will help you!

Choose a Photographer

Before you start planning your wedding, make sure you choose a photographer who has experience with weddings and that delivers images in a style you love. You'll need someone who knows how to capture the special moments of your wedding day, as well as the more relaxed moments between guests. But not only that, you’ll need someone that you can connect with during the day, someone you can enjoy being around and can handle the different stresses that come with weddings. Your photographer and planner are the two vendors that you’d be interacting with the most on the days leading up to the big day and the wedding day itself! You’ll notice that these are pretty early in the free wedding planning checklist I provide. It’s important to connect with these service providers early, so you can get the help and advice you need to make your day extra special!

Select a Venue

Make sure to choose a venue that will fit your budget and style. If you're looking for something unique, consider an outdoor location such as a park or beach. If you'd prefer a more traditional setting, think about choosing a large banquet hall or church. Also think about logistics for your guests; is it easy to get too, will you need to charter a transportation bus? Not only that but also think about your wedding portraits and the type of setting you’d love to see in your images.

Decide on a Theme

Once you've chosen a venue, decide on a theme for your wedding. This helps guests understand what kind of event you're planning. (Black Tie, Intimate Backyard, Country-Vibes, etc.) You might choose a color scheme, a type of music, or even a particular food item. Make sure to let your photographer know what your theme is ahead of time so they’re prepared to capture the things in the day that aligns with your overall theme!
